Description

Gather family or friends around the table for taco night. This kit provides 4 tacos per serving, so you can easily squeeze a 5th person (or have leftovers)! A flavorful combination of ingredients with juicy pineapple, tangy lime, creamy avocado, and a subtle jalapeno spice.

This meal includes:

  • Al Pastor (16 ounces) – Grilled and braised marinated pork in a spice blend referred to as achiote.
  • Pineapple Salsa (8 ounces) –  Pineapple, onions, garlic, jalapeno, poblano, lime juice, and ancho chilis mixed together to provide a sweet finish for the tacos.
  • Three Bean Salad with Avocado Lime Sauce (23 ounces) – Pinto, black and small red beans tossed with corn, red peppers and cooked jalapenos. Served with a avocado crema. 
  • Garlic Rice (20 ounces) – Long grain rice toasted in oil and cooked with roasted garlic. 
  • Corn Tortillas (12 ounces) - (16) street-style mini corn tortillas 
  • Cookie Dough (5.8 ounces) - 4 pieces of rotational cookie dough to bake after dinner for a sweet treat!

Avocado crema: avocado, cilantro, jalapeno, sour cream (cultured cream (milk), food starch-modified (corn), sodium tripolyphosphate, carrageenan, locust bean gum, guar gum, potassium sorbate), lime juice, mayonnaise (sunflower oil, egg yolks, water, organic lemon juice, distilled vinegar, salt, fair trade organic cane sugar, mustard flour, black pepper, citric acid).

Heating Instructions

From Frozen (50 minutes total):

  1. Preheat conventional oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Remove paper lids from the pans. Foil remains on pans while heating.
  3. Use a baking sheet to support pans. Place baking sheet on the middle rack of oven while heating.

Cook times:

  • Al Pastor: 50 minutes total.
  • Garlic Rice: 50 minutes total.
  • Three Bean Salad: 30 minutes total (remove dressing cup inside pan before heating).
  • Avocado Lime Dressing: 5 minutes total - remove paper lid and add to baking sheet during the final 5 minutes of heating.
  • Corn Tortillas: On a separate baking sheet, spread tortillas out and heat for 10 minutes.
  • Pineapple salsa: thaw on counter while the remainder of the meal heats.

Once heated, stir the avocado lime sauce and either mix into the whole bean salad or place a dollop on each individual's plate.

Meal should be heated until internal temperature is 165 degrees F. Oven times may vary.

 

From Thawed (30 minutes total):

 

  • Al Pastor: 30 minutes total.
  • Garlic Rice: 30 minutes total.
  • Three Bean Salad: 15 minutes total (remove dressing cup inside pan before heating).
  • Avocado Lime Dressing: thaw on counter while the remainder of the meal is heating.
  • Corn Tortillas: On a separate baking sheet, spread tortillas out and heat for 5 minutes.
  • Pineapple salsa: thaw on counter while the remainder of the meal heats.

Once heated, stir the avocado lime sauce and either mix into the whole bean salad or place a dollop on each individual's plate.
